I have converted cp_dustbowl from tf2 (duh) to L4D. Everything you would see in a normal L4D map is included and then some. It is fully functional and has a working safe room. Other tf2 maps are in the works. Screenshot goodness:

I need to somehow include the necessary textures (pakrat or .VPK) to avoid requiring gigs worth of .GCFs just to play a map or two. Right now the map requires extracting the TF2 .GCFs into L4D. The overall goal would be to release a "campaign" of TF2 maps for L4D, but this will be released as a standalone to begin with. More to come.

I think that this whole idea is awesome but i do have a few tips for improvement.

1. Not dark enough. Kill a lot of the ambient light and use the selective placing of lights to create shadows

2. Still not scary enough. Add a stormy sky with lighting and intermittent rain if you can.

3. Not scary yet. Add usual l4d gore like dead people, blown up cars, ramshackle everything ect.

I do not know if any of this is possible but you can try....

Other than that, Awesome!

He asked why and I gave him the straightest answer I could muster. That he was a small, unimpressive raisin of a man who deserved none of the little he had.Satisfying.

i think the only thing remotely interesting in this thread is that you can see the relative model size differences between the games TF and L4D by looking at the level. The L4D models look tiny in the TF2 world
